Prince Charles Will Due in Banjul Tomorrow

The Royal Highnesses' visit, which is at the request and on behalf of the British government, will celebrate the UK’s dynamic, forward-looking partnerships with theses commonwealth nations on a range of shared priorities. The visits will highlights key themes in this relationship, including the importance of our Commonwealth Ties; Youth Opportunities; The Environment and Sustainability; Business, Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility; Women and Girls; Literacy; Defence Cooperation; and Religious and Cultural Diversity. The British royal highness will be welcome to the country by President Adama Barrow, at a ceremony in McCarthy Square in Banjul. Newspaper Publishers' Association Launched

The Organisation is aimed to sit and discuss things pertaining to newspapers operation in the country and to take their wishes and desires to make sure that the Gambia print media is continue to play active role in the new dispensation to operate in professional manner. The ceremony was held at Baobab Hotel in Bijilo and was graced by ambassadors and high government officials. By Pa Modou Cham President Adama Barrow has said his government has never stopped and will never stop to put a great premium on education, given the pivotal link between Education and the enhancement of the prospects of socio-economic growth and development for any country. He was speaking at an open ceremony of classrooms in Brikama College over the weekend. Barrow explained that the goal of our education policies is to place emphasis on the Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Barrow urges Gambians to work together to promote reconciliation and justice

The President of The Gambia, Adama Barrow has urges all Gambians to work together to promote reconciliation and justice and to heal and rebuild our nation. “Let us stand together to say: “Never again shall a few people oppress us as a nation. Never Again! Never shall this beautiful Smiling Coast experience the oppression and tyranny of the minority against the majority,” he said. He was speaking recently at the opening of the Truth Reconciliation and Reparation Commission (TRRC) held in Kololi.
