That’s the type of education we are talking about.”
“Education is the most powerful weapons which you can use to change the world. The nation is calling, our new Gambia is calling, you have a role to play and that’s true education and having education will contribute significantly to our democratic republic. Those who know should teach those who don’t know and that’s your role, so that people understand that they need to be very active to polish into the things that is going on the city,” he said.

Prof reiterated that education also call for the emergence of new citizenship that will work collaboratively to accomplish share goals and dreams and these can be best achieve through a sound education for the creation of positive citizens. He added that through education that we will begin to see us as one people and people brought together for arthritis mission and not that one pried to the strategy of social political complexities.

He highlighted that education is very relevant in a democratic society and then it needs to be done with decorum, respecting people opinions and divergence view.

Professor Jared Bell explained that the current president Adama barrow said he doesn’t want to prosecute members of the former regime because he wants to move the country forward.
“All Gambian are the victims of the former regime because the money that Yahya Jammeh stole from the treasurer is money that could be used to develop the Gambia to invest in education, roads, electricity and community development,” he said.

Prof lamented that transitional justice is an expensive process because the government has to hired lawyers and experts to come forwards, which cost a huge amount of money.
