The seven stages of film production

1. Development
This is the process of starting a project varies, but one must think the importance of developing a script, it could be a well written mindset prepared, a book or a brief story outline. Development may also start from identifying your Director or Writer pitching an idea to a Producer.
2. Pre-Production
This is the phase or stage where you would prepare for the production and as well narrow down the existing options of the production. This is the stage where the planning takes place before the cinematography ordered the camera rolling and set to appear in motion pictures. Pre-production also involve scouting for  better locations and casting the right characters. It is as well paramount to hire Producer and a Production Manager to responsible of the scheduling and the budgeting for the film.
3. Production
During this stage, the production manager should maintain the planing of the daily shoot, with regards to the days, props, cast, location and other necessary things. One must important is to stick to the budget and schedule, and it requires constant vigilance. At this stage, the director must mobilized all its characters before rolling time and recap them about the importance of the story-line and the need to deliver well. Make sure all the important things like, cast, crew, props, customs and logistic are well prepared.
4. Principal Photography
This is the time the director call for the shoot for the camera to roll. It is expensive part of film production, due to actor, director, and set crew payment, and the amount of certain shots, props, and on-set special effects. Everything that has happened up to this point is to make principal photography go as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Communication between all parties is highly importance during the shoot and the production must maintain a full set of records and strive to remain on time and on budget.
5. Wrap
Immediately after shooting ends, the production manager has to do all its efforts to clear the ground with his/her team before departing. All of the materials should be checked and packed properly before any movement from the location ground. Everything must be returned in good order to suppliers and there must be a full set of records of the shoot.
6. Post-Production
This stage starts when principal photography ends. In this stage, is the responsibility of the director to review all the shoots taken by his/her DOP, whether its appropriate or there is any missing footage. From there, there should be the process of assembling the movie like editing. Music and Sound Design is crucial and the film should be well edited before hitting the market. 
7. Distribution
Once the film is completed, it must be distributed to agents or markets with the hope of gaining more income as invested. This is how producers make their money back and a considerable amount of time and energy will be invested to secure the right distribution deals for their projects. The film can go into cinema, festivals, other market platforms for filmmakers.
