Victims' center to protest against APRC permit approval

As the country is mourn with protest upon protest, the Center for Victims and Human Rights Violations (Victims' Center) has yesterday revealed their plan to protest on the 23rd of January 2020, due to the police decision in granting APRC a permit.

After the APRC permit request to protest for former President Yahya Jammeh to return home, the victims' center have been tirelessly calling on the police to withheld the approval.

However, APRC were granted permit 8 hours before their planned time, which was executed yesterday at the streets of Sukuta Traffic light in solidarity to Jammeh's homecoming.

This prompted the victims centre's yesterday request to the police,  in order to protest and express their heartfelt and dissapointment to the Police.

Isatou Jammeh, relative to former President Jammeh and staff of the Victims' Center, said "we have send out a permit to seek for a protest in collaboration with all our partners and the victims to show solidarity."

She indicated that the protest is planned the 23rd of January in Banjul, from the Arch 22 to the police headquarters.

"We are calling everyone to come and take part because is a national call. We calling everyone to come and make it a massive one, so that we can condemn the approval of the police for issueing protest permit to APRC," she added in released audios.

She continues to call on all the victims and families to come out with numbers to join them; adding "we feel that the police's decision is a mockery to the victim center."
She said the protest will starts at 10am at the above mentioned date.
