Barrow requests support from politicians, CSOs

On this trying time of global COVID-19 pandemic, in order to fight the spread in The Gambia, President Adama Barrow has called on all political party leaders and civil society organisations to work with Government in the fight. 

He emphasized that all efforts and cooperation during these trying moments are appreciated very much indeed.

“I urge all of us to take the pandemic as a serious threat which requires all our collaborative and cooperative efforts to overcome. Let us cooperate fully with the health and security authorities so that measures adopted to stop the spread of the coronavirus can be effective.”

He highlighted that implies maintaining high personal hygiene standards that include regular hand washing, avoiding hand shaking, observing social distancing and all other regulations and measures necessary to fight COVID-19.

'Who to blame' movie premier slated

By Elizabeth Cole One of the Gambia's talented filmmakers, who established Young Stars Movie Production have slated to premier another movie tittle 'Who To Blame' on March 6 at Pencha Mii hall. The production house that had started as a drama group in Brusubi, the Chief Executive Officer Modou Lamin Sowe said he was part of the founders and became the first president. He explained that they were inspired to form a movie production after shooting a movie tittle The Shadows of Our Culture' in Manduar, which brings lot of comments at home.   "That's the reason we decided to expand it instead being only for school drama thing."
