“The water we consume daily is a concern. Although water is colourless, this was totally different from normal tap water. I think it’s scary,” he stated.

He urged NAWEC that since they are in public office and receiving salaries through taxes collected from citizens, they should always be serious about the health and safety of people. He continued that NAWEC should regularly check or monitor their tanks, water quality and sanitation in order to prevent contamination of water.

He urged NAWEC to be touring around, especially during the rainy season. He said there could be broken piles that could cause such an unnoticed problem in its main water sources.

“We may not blame NAWEC at all times because they might not be aware of everything that is happening across the country. It’s the right of the customers to report anything of concern. I also asked for a double up in their efforts to cater for our needs,” he said.
