Barrow calls for more UN support in global peace & security

 By Pa Modou Cham President Adama Barrow strongly advocated for multilateralism, calling for more support for the UN in the search for global peace and security. According to State House, he delivered this powerful message of hope and inspiration at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly. Gambia is also celebrating the week in order to improve in the development of science, technology and innovation. This was revealed in a press conference held today at the Higher Education Ministry, along Bijilo highway.  The Gambia NEF Ambassador David Jeng explained that the science week is gears towards science, technology and innovation across the continent.   He added that Africa science week is a weeklong celebration of science, technology and innovation in different ways across the continent.   “This year is the first time Gambia is partaking in this initiative. Carpenters Association Donates Podium to President Barrow By Pa Modou Cham The National Association of Carpenters on Friday Presented a Podium to H.E President Adama Barrow at the State House In Banjul.  The Presentation according to the President of the Association Ndey Awa Ceesay is meant to bridge the gap between the association and the government, as well as, demonstrate to the President and the people of the Gambia that the association has the potential to produce standard furniture.  According to state house, she appealed the government to be given an opportunity to create office furniture with longer durability than the imported ones and in the process create jobs for Gambians.  After the official presentation, Sheikh Tijan Secka, a representative, pledged to provide full office furniture for President Barrow.  The then Secretary-General and Head of the Civil Service Mr. Habib Drammeh commended the association for the kind gesture and assured them of

The training is gears towards the development of Gambians youth in various life skills.  The President and the founder of GAM-MINDS foundation Gabriel Gomez has explained that the foundation seek to get the best of young people especial in entrepreneurship, education and innovation. International oil companies express interest in The Gambia By Kaddy Coll   The President of The Gambia Adama Barrow has explained that major international oil companies have expressed interest in exploring and commercializing our hydrocarbon potential.    He was speaking at a recent gathering with the law makers in Banjul at an occasion called the “State Of Our Nation”. The President highlighted that the licensing of offshore blocks of A2 and A5 are required in order to drill an exploration well before end of 2018. He added that in spite of this, the regulatory instruments of the Petroleum Products Act, 2016 have been validated and sent to the Ministry of Justice for finalization.
