Carpenters Association Donates Podium to President Barrow

The National Association of Carpenters on Friday Presented a Podium to H.E President Adama Barrow at the State House In Banjul. 

The Presentation according to the President of the Association Ndey Awa Ceesay is meant to bridge the gap between the association and the government, as well as, demonstrate to the President and the people of the Gambia that the association has the potential to produce standard furniture. 

According to state house, she appealed the government to be given an opportunity to create office furniture with longer durability than the imported ones and in the process create jobs for Gambians. 

After the official presentation, Sheikh Tijan Secka, a representative, pledged to provide full office furniture for President Barrow. 

The then Secretary-General and Head of the Civil Service Mr. Habib Drammeh commended the association for the kind gesture and assured them of government's support to local industries. He said patronizing locally made products not only reduce government foreign expenditure but as well creates employment.
