Rotary Club Gambia gets new President

Rotary club Gambia gets new president after to run the daily activities of the club, after completing a successful election which gives Mr. Momodou Lamin M Camara the leadership to function for the benefit of the club.

The new president promised to intervene in the provision of toilets in schools and communities in dire need of it. He added that he will continue supporting the Diabetic Foot Care Centre at Edward Frances Small Teaching hospital (EFSTH) and Farato School community project.

“The function of each member of the execution should be my priority and the vital role of the Sgt @ arms should be seen and felt like the era of my predecessor PP Ndure,” he said.

Furthermore, he said the mother of all clubs should be lively, interesting and educative for both Rotarians and families.   

President Camara who expressed delights, whiling quoting in the words of Winston Churchill who says “urge you to never give in, never give in, never, never in nothing great or small, large or petty. Never give in except in convictions of honor and good sense”. He added that we must remain as beacons of hope for future generations as Rotarians for together they must be the inspiration.

For his part, the outgoing president His Royal Highness Oba Moshood K.B. Abolade thanked the Rotarians for the making the day a successful one.

He said the program was successful because of the efforts of the members, adding that they raised D152, 000 for the club.
