30 GAF officers trained on engineering

The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) has yesterday graduated thirty officers who underwent five months intensive training on engineering to serve GAF. The graduation was held at Yundum Barack. Brigadier general Ramatoulie B.K Sanyang thanked all the commanders who partake in the training, saying there is need to consolidate on the achievements made so far and improve on the identified weak areas, especially in engineering. “This is the fifth time in the history of the GAF engineers thus making today’s ceremony most special. I recalled personnel ceremony cadre 04 around July 2018, which was about 50 soldiers and was a significant figure to both GAF engineers and different platinum,” he explained. Gambia pays 60% revenue as loan, depend on donors

Barrow assure women D5M annually

The President of The Gambia Adama Barrow told the women leaders that women’s advancement and empowerment are integral to his government’s development plan, which the NDP 2018-2021 – will provides for the allocation of D5 million annually to an entrepreneurship fund to promote women’s economic empowerment. The Senegalo-Gambian Network of Women Entrepreneurs and Leaders paid a courtesy call on the President at the State House on Wednesday to discuss the vision and mission of their organization as well as the challenges they face in facilitating trade between the two countries and beyond. Gambia commits to fight clubfoot problem

The founder of Gambia clubfoot foundation Dr. Ebou Camara has denounce that they are committed in fighting clubfoot problem in The Gambia for sustainability. He was speaking during an opening training of medical doctors on basis ponseti clubfoot treatment yesterday, which is funded by Miraclefeet in the USA. He explained that they came with the initiative of helping people with clubfoot problem during their visit to the country’s hospitals, adding that they initiated the training for doctors to learn and share with others, in order to fight clubfoot in the country. “We now registered more than 300 patience and we know there are more. That’s why we’re organising training for health workers in Serrekunda hospital and Banjul to start the treatment in the country. GDC believes gov’t shouldn’t issue license for gun importation

The Gambia Democratic party (GDC) has profound believe that now is not the time for the issuance of  gun importation licenses in the country but the issuance of food production, packaging, processing and importation licenses for food security. These were revealed in a press statement send to CTV Africa.
