Kandeh says President Barrow is GDC

The Secretary General and party leader of Gambia Democratic Party (GDC) Mamma Kandeh has today revealed at a rally held in Fula Bantang that President Adama Barrow is a GDC member.

The politician clarified that the GDC party is for all Gambians and Barrow is one of them.

"GDC has no boarder and on our developments plans, we don't look whether a particular person have supported us or not. If I am elected, I will serve as a leader of all and will also work for the interest of everyone."

He called on Gambians to open their eyes to know who is ready to develop the country or fooling them. He added that he had the request from the people of Fulladu with regards to their rice filed, saying the rice field can serve the whole of Africa, if there is support.

He promised to support and called for empowerment of the people of Faladu to cultivate their rice filed. "The vegetable we use in hotels are imported from Senegal. Can't we empower our own people to work on their fields? He asked."

The GDC leader emphaised that because of the upcoming elections, the government is wanting to help the people of Faludu. He advised them to eat anything provided to them by the government, saying they never gives out anything.

On health to education and security, he said all this sectors have broken, while emphasising that a country cannot move forward without them.

"They have been saying oppositions don't work but not now because we have seen what GDC is doing for the people."

About the 3 years, he said Barrow made mentioned after been elected that he would only serve for 3 years. He clarified that he didn't say 3 years but it was them the coalition who agreed to it but had brought some confrontation within themselves. He said Barrow refused to honour his promises and turn down his integrity.

"They have been saying I don't have money, yes I don't have but thank God because I uses the little thing I have to help people and other political leaders are busy ecumulating wealth for themselves.  Barrow never gives out a single bag of rice to any citizens. The bus he said he is driving, will stop because he is just a driver."

"I had that Barrow has crowd buying but we don't have that. People attain our programs because of the love they have for the party."

MC Cham junior also highlighted that GDC is a Gambian party and they have no idea of bringing differences among people with regards to their tribe.

"GDC don't promote tribalism because we believes in one people in order to develope the country."

He pointed that Kandeh is the first person who is working for the development of the country without been elected as president; adding that his projects are established from Banjul to Kiona.

"He has build so many useful places, drilled lot of boreholes, gives milling machines and more to the communities."

The defected member of Barrow's National Peoples Party (NPP) to GDC Momodou Jallow had called on the citizens to vote Kandeh as president because of his kindness and love he has for the country.

He added that Kandeh is the only one among politicians who is at all time helping its country people irrespective of their tribe, religion or party affiliation.

He alleged President Adama Barrow of been president of a 'Kaffo' (small group of people) but not the whole country because of his incompetents.

HJAG Elects Dynamic Executive

Press Release The Health Journalists Association of The Gambia (HJAG), on 25th November 2023, elected a dynamic executive who will run the affairs of the Association for the next three years at an elective congress held at the NaNA conference hall. Cuba proposes actions to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
