Barrow, Mai extol each other



The president of The Gambia Adama Barrow has extolled the honesty of the leader of Gambia Moral Congress (GMC) Mai Ahmed Fatty, while Mai returns by describing the president as hardworking leader.

These statements were made recently at a rally held in Wuli Foday Kunda in the Upper River Region of the country.

“Barrow sits to develop the country. He is from this region and we will support him before supporting anybody, this is a commitment from us,” said Mai Fatty.

He explained that it was a long time between him and Barrow and is not politics, adding that people of Wuli will not associate politics with Barrow.

He buttressed that whosoever wants to bring politics between the people of Wuli and Barrow, then the person is still sleeping and he/she will keep on sleeping. “I have seen yesterday and if yesterday don’t come, there will be no today. If the president develops Wuli, then the country will also develop.”

He said people of Wuli knows that since their ancestors, all what they were crying for is good roads, electricity and water, which president Barrow is bringing to make their dreams come through.

“We know that since Jawara time, we the people of Wuli were isolated in development projects. The money president Barrow brings to the country, since we know Gambia, we never have that,” he stated.

He welcomed the president in his resident district, asserting that they know nothing but peace, adding that president Barrow will get anything he wants from them.

He calls on very Gambian to support President Barrow in order to develop the country.

For his part the president, he explained that he used his phone to called Mai Fatty and Sedia Jatta to attend the rally, must specially the man he likes, loves and admire, who is no other than Mai Fatty.

Hon. Sedia Jatta said national development walks with strategies and youths should be involve and play their part.

Hamat Bah, the tourism minister pointed that president barrow is the fourth best leading presidents in Africa.
